I am kinda new to the site. I joined awhile back but soon got side tracked by another project.(85 zl900 Eliminator). Now that I have that about done it is time to start working on my 1957 F100 Stepside-shortbed-. It has 28k on it and was a barn find. Really super complete and cool lookin!(to me anyways) It has a 292 yblock and a 3spd column shift. I really don't know much about these trucks exept they seem to be pretty hard to find.(the stepside short beds) That is the main reason for getting involved with the site. I Put a new dist., coil, carb rebuil, radiator recore oil filter adaptor, points eliminator kit, master cyl.and am currently doing all of the brakes. It finally runs. I have to work some bugs out of her, slowly but surely I will get her! I will try to post some picks soon. Can't wait to drop the front in the weeds and put some smoothies and wide whites on it!!! and call it GOOD! Even I paint cars for a living, I don't like shinny.Give me rust any day. I hope I fit in..... Later
Apart from your name, followed by this statement, I'll agree with you saying that you're "kinda new to this site." I also think you should have read and paid attention more and you'd realise how misplaced your 'hope I fit in' call is.
