Hello to all, I've been reading this board and the Jalopy Journal for years, so I thought it was maybe finally time to speak up. I love the old stuff, and the rodding traditions of the past, and I hope to interact with others who understand. I have a 55 Chevy in the garage that is a long-term project, but lately I'm counting highboy roadsters in my sleep. I'm maintaining a few websites for local car clubs, and one defunct club that holds a real cool reunion once a year. Check out the Memphis Rodders site if you want to see the still developing web page. We've got some pretty cool old photos in the "archive" section.
Thanks for the welcome. Maybe you could keep me posted as to any car events in your neck of the woods? I try to keep a calendar of regional stuff for my car club, and it seems you're reasonably close by.
Welcome from the South Coast. Here is a site that might be of interest. http://www.classiccarbug.com/
Wow! Lots of info there about what's up on the gulf coast (and surrounding area.) I'll link the site to the Memphis Classic Chevys site since several of our members make the Cursin' the Coast event. Thanks for the tip.
