I'm guilty of using the HAMB for information and not posting anything so here goes my "practice" posting. I would name this posting "Unobtainium".

I tried to buy this truck but the owner wouldn't sell it for any price. He is going to restore it. If you notice a tree has been growing between the rear bumper and tailgate and has raised the truck in the air. 5 Years later, the truck is raised higher as the tree grows. I think it's a 1952 Chevy 1/2 ton with no rear axle. I can see a push****on door handle and a vent window which narrows the years down to 1952-55 1st. The grille looks like 1947-53. The hood insignia is missing so it's possible the truck is a 1953.

Here is the technical problem. How's the best way to make this truck a roller? I thought about finding another rear axle, leaf springs and tires and try to bolt them to the spring holders. Then jack up the front and install brake hubs and tires. Remove the front jack. How do I get rid of the tree without it falling on the truck?

Welcome from South Carolina. If the owner won't sell, why are you worried about moving it? If you are able to buy it, a rollback is the best way for the move.

Hello Charlieb66. It could be any car or truck. I was expecting someone to tell me to remove the rear bumper so it would be free of the tree. Wouldn't have to cut the tree and risk it falling on me or the truck.
