Posting this, of course, means I'm new. I'm here to learn mainly, and to connect with others who have the same p***ions as I do. I do not own or have worked on anything pre-65, but appreciate and am awe stricken by the entire spectrum of gearhead customizing, in particular, old school, low-tech/high-ingenuity rodders. I have a particular interest in all forms of metalworking, and car customizing is the showcase in which to view some astounding work. I don't feel I'll have much to add, but a huge amount to absorb, and look forward to reading future posts, and going back to review some old ones. Thanks for having such a great messege board.
Thanks for the welcome, quite a number of PA and MD's 'rodders on here. I'm out in Chambersburg, but originally from York, home of Harleys and Street Rod Nationals, neither of which thrills me all that much, but we do got the old US 30 Dragstrip and the reunion every July, home of the NNN and lots of clay oval tracks. Thanks again.
Welcome aboard. Make sure that you go to the Jalopy Showdown. www.jalopyshowdown.com there is a metal workin' demo and a bunch of great cars, folks and fun... Smokey
