Looks like I jumped off into the deep end without reading the rules. I started a suspension theory thread and it got deleted but I did get my answer. Oooppss!:D I'm finding out quickly that this place is quite different than other forums I've been to.

So let me go ahead and give myself a proper introduction. My name is Stephen and I'm from Austin, Texas. Currently attending school in Kingsville, Texas and graduating this May with an Electrical Engineering degree. My one and only vehicle, though I've done a lot to it shall go unmentioned because it doesn't really belong here.

I'm very much into the fabrication aspect of hot rodding. I caught the gear head bug from my dad and learned the vast majority of what I know from him, but a couple of years ago I bought a $99 welder and taught myself and I have been hooked ever since. It seems when searching for answers to my questions, I always end up here. In being a member here, I hope to expand my fabrication knowledge and one day build a car that I can post here.

Welcome to the HAMB and if you have not gone yet, go to the LSR and you will learn a lot by checking out all that is there....

    Welcome aboard Stephen!
I had a couple of posts to your first thread...LoL
Your subject vehicle was obviously off topic but what you plan on doing wasn't really outside the stuff we like here.
YOU personally however, (judging from your cool and adaptive at***ude on that deleted thread) should fit the place to a T! :D
Good luck with your builds and hope to see a Hot Rod in your future!

  10. Welcome, this is a good place to learn, soak up everything you can. I was born in Kingsville, raised in Bishop and Corpus, and somehow wound up in Austin.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I REALLY want to go, but my senior project and graduation are really taking all my time right now and the LSR is right in prime time for all that. Don't think I can afford to be gone a weekend. I suppose there's always next time. :(

Thanks for your help with that. You were one of the ones who saw past the non-HAMB vehicle and saw the relevant question. I'm sure all the ******** 4x4 suspension pictures I was using to illustrate my point was the major contributor to getting the thread closed LOL.

I grew up in Austin and once I graduated high school I came straight to Kingsville and I've been here ever since. I spent my whole first year just adjusting, it really is different here.
