Hi i'm new to the H.A.M.B. from York, Pennsylvania. I recently about 2 months ago bought a 1958 Ford Country Sedan Wagon all original basically for the family cruising and show car. I am new to the old ford scene so been searching on cheapest way to lower the front and rear of the car about 2 inches, any info would help i know im pretty sure aerostar springs will work up front but gotta figure out the shocks and whether i should just lower the back with blocks?
Welcome from Harrisburg, PA. I'm not that familiar with '58 Fords, but rather than a spring swap, you might consider just cutting a coil or so off the stock springs up front and then go from there?
Welcome from Twain Harte, Cal... How U dooin after the storm??? Yes, why not try the cutting deal... sneak up on it slowly... 1 or 2 coils at a time....
Welcome from Utah. To lower your car a little. Have you thought about just getting a torch and heating the spring up enough to make the car sit at the level you want. -Cody
Welcome from Columbia PA, Ive been running lowering blocks on the back of my '37 now for 4 years with no snags, the front Im running lowering springs designed for my application from Eaton Springs, Keep an eye out for the Allentown swap meet coming up during the winter..few local HAMBers will be there

Got the aerostar front springs and front shocks mentioned in a couple of posts and a 2 inch lowering block kit for the rear of the '58 this week, hopefully everything works out like they say and it will be lowered soon!!!!
Welcome from Abbottstown. Don't worry about cutting the springs.....everybody loves a lowered car If you do cut start with 1 coil. 1 1/2 would probably be right. Clark
