Hey, I just picked up a 62 Nostalgic gasser car. Currently has a 283 with 9.25 compression and 520 heads, that needs finishing up. I will installing a nasty 355 I have while I rebuild the 283 for street cruising. The car has a gasser front clip, fiberglass nose, subframe connectors, 12 bolt with 456 gears and a glide. It looks to be an original purpose built 60's real gasser, how would I find out about the history of the car if it was built in the period? Looking forward to hanging around the site.
This is what the car looked like before the previous owner primed it, however the dash and interior are a glitter flake blue, cant figure out if he was in the process of painting it blue, or the blue was there previously.
Welcome from the West Coast of Florida. Where did you find the car and how much did you have to pay for it? The car looks great but I am not sure if it's from the 60's with that front clip on it. If the car was from the N.J. area the guys at Atco, Island, Englishtown and maybe Maple Grove would know more about the history of the car.
Car came from Michigan, but was previously in Indiana. I got a really good deal on the car I can tell you that much. Its very solid, windows all work great, doors shut great, body is very straight with no bondo!!!
where about in jersey are you ? my location in jersey changes daily it all depends on where my car is parked lol.
