Hey all! I'm new...My name is Julie, call me Jules, and I'm from CT. I'll be honest, I don't know a lot about cars, but I want to learn and my husband (arkracing, to all those on this message board) is teaching me little by little. I do know I love Old Ford Mustangs (60s mostly) and Gangster Cars (call it an Italian thing) and everytime we go to a car show I'm fascinated by pinstripes...maybe some of you experts could give me some pointers on how to get started with the artform that is pinstriping! hahaha Anyway, just thought I'd say hello and have a look around at some of the awesome projects you all are working on, maybe learn something new. Also, hello to all those that will be in Austin, TX the weekend of March 29th-April 1st for the LoneStar Round Up! My husband and I are flying down (can't wait!!) and it's gonna be a blast! Take care! Peace. Jules
Welcome to Hot Roddin Jules.........Good for you!And GREAT for your husband, and your marriage. How do I get my wife into it?I go to most shows without her.She digs hot rods, but with no passion at all. There is hope though,I got 2 daughters and my 14 year old wants a 55 Chevy....... (I'll make sure we get her one soon to build) Its really nice to see you guys are traveling together to rod runs.Good luck+have fun.If your on the H.A.M.B.,then your on the right track, and you know what REAL hot rods are!
I forgot to tell you,(its an Italian thing),to check out the Eastwood catalog that I'm sure you guys probably get in the mail, plenty of pinstriping how to videos, books, info and equipment.see yah at the Rockabilly Rumble,Mike The wifes going to that one!!!
Keep trying to get the wife to go to shows! Maybe it's just me, but the more I saw, the more I wanted to know what everything was and how the whole thing worked. Then again, I really do LOVE the pinstripes, too. Not to mention the fact my husband is addicted to hot rods and I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Now I know...and you're right, I think this message board is a step on the right track! Good that your daughter is into HotRods. Start 'em young! hahaha.
Hahahaha...Step one accomplished.... we'll work with you on it! And hey...you know all that doesn't bother me. See you later on...
