Well I'm new to forum and I posted a small introductoery about myself over on the main side but seeing as all of us in this section dig these body styles. Figured I post a little on my car.

    53' 2 door Customline
    351W
    C6 Trans
    9 inch rear end
    Dual gl*** pack exhaust
3 inch blocks in the rear
Cut Springs in the front "Got it this way"

Story of how the car became mine:
First off I've always loved this body style/era of car have always dreamed of owning one and being a ford guy I didn't want to settle for a Chevy sorry Chevy guys. One day at work (Schucks/Kragen/Checker/Orielly's Auto Supply) we got a employee transfer from another store up the road. Turns out he's a pretty cool cat. We got talking about cars and he tells me he has a 32' or 23' Dodge and 53' 2 door Ford Customline at that point I was excited like a kid at chiristmas. We talked more and I told him he had to let me see it.

So after work I went and scoped it out and say ok ok how much?!? He laughed and said not for sale I then went from  to this :(. After a few months and him seeing my little mini trucks and the paint styles I kept putting on them (I'll post pics of those). He said ok how about $1,300. I was stoked I said ok let me scrounge up the money another month went bye and still short (Wife decided she needed a $300 purse). I was joking around with him and said hell I'll give you my 80' Ford Courier for the 53'. He got the look of hmmm.....whats it look like hows it run, what kind of deal you wanna do, and blah blah...

I told him the info on the truck he said let me take a look. Another night after work he came over and looked it over. He tried playing it  but couldn't hide the huge :D. We worked a deal and THEN a week later this fine gem comes rolling over to my pad on a trailer.

    Ok my Mini Trucks

76' Ford Courier bagged no finished pics "first of my mini trucks he'd seen"

How cool! That's the way it always happens. You cut your automotive teeth on one thing - like mini trucks or tuners - but once you get exposed to traditional customs you get "transformed" and never look back!

Your new Customline looks like it's already had some good work done on it and only needs some TLC to be ready to cruise. In fact, your car right now looks like the better cars in my high school parking lot back in the late '50s and early '60s.

Take some more pics of it and post 'em here, okay!

    And, welcome aboard!

Thanks for farming up the group- we all appreciate it! I think it's time to start a thread to get ideas going for some shirt designs.
