New guy form Wisconsin

Been looking around here for a while but never posted. Picked up a 51 Chevy Styline Special 2 door sedan all stock. I would like to turn it into a dual purpose 60's style car. Something you could have driven to work and raced on the weekends. I really enjoy all the info on here, look forward to much learning as i move forward on my project. By the way i am located in s. e Wisconsin, the Waterford area.

Welcome. I grew up in Pewaukee but spent my post Viet-Nam years in the Racine area. Saturday night grudge races with my 57 Chevy at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, and going to Carls place ( Kasper Auto Trim ) in Waterford in the 80s. Good times.
Sounds like you want to be on the traditional customs forum with the 51.

 

Thanks for the info ,Kasper Auto trim is about a 1 1/2 miles form my house but i don't see as many cars around there anymore.
