Back in the '50s my family and I used to go out there to smell the orange blossoms (well, when the smudge pots weren't being used to prevent frosts in the orchards!). Went to Disneyland in August '55 and my mother wondered why anyone "would want to build a theme park out in the sticks..." Times sho'nuff have changed.
