new here and new to this car. I've had several GM Gbody's and a 59 gmc truck. I've been after a chopped top car for a few years now. i ended up doing some trading and ended up with this 52 styleline. I have about $350.00 in this car at the moment. it was already chopped when I got it. it still needs a lot of work. I need interior parts. inner fenders, hood hinges. pretty much everything needed to bolt the front clip together. I also need to get the gl*** cut/made. I have a 12-year-old daughter that loves the 40s and 50s cars so this is a project for us. plans for a motor are still in the air. as much as I want to drop a newer LS 5.3 or 6.0 in it, I'm not going to that rout. any tips and pointers or places to find parts would be a lot of help! thanks. the52.jpg

Hi. Nice looking ride with lots of potential. Keep us posted as you build.
A couple of sources for parts would be www.chevsofthe40s.com and www.fillingstation.com . The Chev's of 40.s actually has many parts thru 1954 and the filling station thru 1964. I noticed the filling station has the steel front inner fender wells. Both have online catalogues and both will send you their big paper catalogues. Chevy of the 40's also have a street rod catalog and a truck catalog.
These two sources will likely have all of the body & interior parts you need.
Your 1952 should have come with the 235 C.I. engine and they are good engines and with the right rear end ratio you can drive at todays speeds.
My Avitar photo here shows my 1957 235 engine in my 46 Stylemaster Sport Coupe. We are just finishing up with the installation of a T350 Chevrolet transmission and a 57 Chevy pickup rear end. I am setting the car up for extended Hwy driving and cruises & tours and it will be way over geared for any form of racing. I would have already had it back out of the shop but they shut down for a couple of weeks getting all the shop vehicles ready in time to do the Lone Star Roundup.
    Good luck, Jimmie
