Hey all, my name's Ross. I've been lurking around these boards for a little bit and finally decided to join. I'm a big fan of more or less all American vehicles from the beginning right up into the mid-1970's. I've been around old cars all my life as my father is a welder/fabricator/bodyman. Together we've restored a 1952 Chevrolet half-ton pickup, a 1935 Ford 1 1/2-ton dump truck, a 1937 Packard Super Eight model 1500 touring sedan, and are currently working on a "custom" 1940 Packard model 1801-A panel delivery (made by shortening a very rough 1940 Henney-bodied ambulance 20 inches and blocking off all the side windows and doors). I currently own one older car, a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado: I'm only the third owner in all these years, and the car is currently in storage awaiting restoration. It does run and drive, though, and sees the light of day occasionally on nice days. Hopefully soon I can also add something even older to the fleet (my father has a VERY incomplete 1940 Packard 120 sedan out behind his building that would make a great rod or a very ambitious restoration project). Anywho, thanks for having me here and I look forward to talking to some great people and learning a lot from all of you.
