Hey guys, new bloke from South Australia. 23 years old and born into a hot rod family. Caught the bug from an early age and been involved in building them with my dad since I was old enough to pick up tools. Mechanical engineer by trade and work as an automotive engineer which involves helping people get there cars on the road. This ranges from hot rods to muscle cars to brand new kit cars. Most of my knowledge is attributed to being hands on building cars and not the expensive sheet of paper I got from a university! I'm planning to build a 32 3 window with 392 hemi, webers, toploader, SW twin blue gauges etc. Basically what I would see as the ideal hot rod. I plan to design and fabricate much of it from scratch myself eg ch***is and suspension. Unfortunately I can't start until the old mans car is finished (including the other current builds to finance his) so Ive just been collecting all the 'hard to find' bits, designing and researching until I can start. Current builds are the old mans 35 5 window (very modern/show build), a T bucket (what I'd call pro street style) and a 36 5 window (again, pro street). Planning to start building in 2 years, until then just here to learn more and build the best traditional styled car I can. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Welcome to HAMB. Sounds like a great project! Time is on your side. So keep us posted on your build. A 32 with a Hemi is hard to beat! Thanks Ron....
