Well, I finally jumped in. Never joined a message board before, but think the HAMB and the Jalopy Journal positively rules. I've learned so much from such a variety of folks on this site - figured there might come a day when I contribute something at some point in time. I'm just a regular sort of guy that just loves all things "traditional". From hot rodding to drag racing - this is my cup of tea or beer for that matter. My `40 Ford Convertible follows a number of cues from the early years and I've had an opportunity to learn a vast variety of do's and dont's over the years from many folks I highly respect. But there's still tons to absorb and hopefully more projects on the horizon. Spuds might be the famous crop in Idaho, but so are many fine rods, customs and the like. That's it for the time being. Hey Scott Welcome To One Of The Best Site's Around ! The Hamb ! Went Through Idaho In 2000 When The Fire's Were Burnin Up The West. Headin For Speedweek At The Bonneville Salt Flats. Great Time, Go If You Haven'tn Yet ! It's Great! Remember Old Fart's Have More Octane !
Thanks for the welcome. Seems like I've been on the site since its inception, but never thought I'd join forces and post anything worthy. No question - Bonneville flat rocks. All things "fast" trip my trigger. From Drag Racing to World of Outlaws to Speedway Motorcycle - somethin' about speed, must be in my blood. Be good, ZZ-Iron. Scott
Hey Scott. Do you have any pics of your 40'? What part of Idaho are you from? Are you going to Tony Farnetti's Traditional Trash Party on June 16th in Sand Hollow (N. of Caldwell)? I am trying to see if we can't get some Idaho HAMB members to meet up in one location.
