Well, I have been signed up for quite some time now and have never posted, so instead of continuing to "lurk" and watch the conversations I thought it would be fun to actually start one. My name is John and I am from corn and soybean country here in Indiana. I drive a 1955 Buick which is slowly becoming a pretty decent car thanks to a lot of hard work and good friends. It will hopefully become a mild custom someday. The mechanicals are more or less sorted, and some custom bodywork has been started. My late father was a really good guy who enjoyed the heck out of his hot rods, and I have him to credit for introducing me to what at this point I would consider my lifestyle. I cannot imagine not having some cool old car to work on and drive around, and I hope my young children will have the opportunity someday to enjoy them too.

Didnt take em long to catch on did it? Welcome to the group , i think you will like it, however it can be additictive.
hahaha thats funny breeder!!!! Hey, it is about time John, I finally quit harping on you, I thought you would never post, LOL Robs waiting for GMC Bubba to get the car around! I have car show envy, I want to go to KKOA so bad I have a list of friends we haven't seen since it left lancaster. Harness's, Livingston's, Minor's, Titus's, Alber's some beatnicks and a ton more. Obviously you didn't bend robs ear in indy!! Your lucky I started a new job and have limited vac time or I'd be riding shotgun with you!!! Glad you finally posted, as you know its a cool place.
Welcome aboard John buy you may want to rethink hangin' around with the likes of GMC Bubba as he is definitely a bad influence. Don't take my word just ask Lindross.
Ordinarily, I would likely take anything Lindross says about GMC Bubba seriously, but after seeing him in action late night at Bubba's open house last month - well - let's just say it might be a case of the pot calling the kettle black! No photographic evidence of these shenanigans exists, unfortunately, at least to my knowledge! I've been on the HAMB less than a week and I have already received help finding wheels for my Buick, as well as some other useful info. Not too shabby!
