Well, I grew up on LI, Lived near NY Rte 231 where everybody used to cruise and have a hotrod. My first ride at 15 was a 65' Chevy P'up w/ a 230 and Granny 4 speed. My Dad & I restored it best we could. More bondo than truck, NYCTA Blue Imron and lots of fun... Life went on and I became an Air Traffic Controller in Chicagoland. Loved living out there. 2 dragstrips (rt 66 and Byron) within an hour and several more just a little farther away. Drag Racing (brackets some T/D etc.) over 20 years but then life changed a bit. In '05 my young son was diagnosed w/ autism. Long story short we headed back east as there was simply a greater quan***y of services available to help him. Now to the present he's 9 and likes to ride in the "Big Truck" Daddys 98 12valve Dodge.. While I love the truck it's not quite the ride for cruising around town.. Well hopefully tomorrow Daddy will be bringing home a new ride for us to wander around town with. I'll be picking up a 1946 Chevy 1 ton pick up. It's a long be which I haven't seen any around but I'm hoping I'll learn more about it from the folks here. Well I thinks that's a long enough intro. Thanks for having me...
