Truly a newbie here. I've just always had a love for late 40's early 50's sedans. I've built some trucks for offroading in the past using mostly bolt on parts. I've even gone as far as engine swap from carbureated to fuel injected. What I can't do is weld. I really need to take a cl***.

Simply put, I work a desk job but I truly I love spinning wrenches and dream bigger than my wallet or skills allow. No matter what hobby it is. I'm hoping to find a good running Ford Shoebox mildly customized for weekend rides, cruise nights, heck just to drive to work daily with my short 2 mile commute. Problem is, my wife is not going to let my children ride in the car withouht properly harnessing in their car seat or booster.

Is this possible to do? I really want to get a car but if the family can't enjoy it, I'm going to have look for something I can get belts into.

Lap belts are fine. You can buy the kits lots of places. They are easily installed too.
