Been lurking for awhile finally signed up. I recently obtained a 1968 Chrysler 300 convertible. It ran when parked in a pole barn 25+ years ago (when it drove in you could still buy leaded gas) has been on jack stands ever since. the doors have bad bondo door ding repairs, the rest is good and rust free....Gonna start on it soon.
Welcome from New Zealand. I know what you mean about bad bondo jobs. I recently reskinned one of the doors on my Buick, not to fix a rust problem, but a seriously dumb repair someone had done long before I owned it. The thing must have had two gallons of the stuff in it! Your Chrysler is a cool car. Years ago I had a girlfriend in SoCal who had a '68 New Yorker hardtop with a 440 in it. Went pretty well for a big, heavy car with a tiny, 96 lb driver behind the wheel.
