Hey everyone, my name is Devin and I'm a 22 year old college student from New York. I grew up around car culture my whole life whether it be attending car shows, local fri/sat night cruise spots & racing, and also a lot of track events. Muscle cars and traditional hot rods are my p***ion, nostalgia drag cars are possibly my favorite. My father has had many projects over years including a 57' Chevy and many mopars. I have had a few of my own projects over the years including a 72' Ford Maverick Grabber with a 302 in it, 72' Chevy Nova (6cylinder, powerglide car ehhh), 81' Z28 street/strip car with a built smallblock 350, and a 95' Trans Am LT1 6spd. As of right now I'm a broke college kid who had to sell all of my prized possesions to go to school. I'm hoping when I graduate next semester to start building a nostalgic street/strip car and possibly a bobber/chopper. I can't wait to learn from everyone and I hope to offer advice where I can.
Congrats on the upcoming graduation. Now repeat after me "I will not build a rat r*d, I will not build a rat r*d". Welcome from MD. You should definitely take the trip down to Beaver Springs in the fall for the Jalopy Showdown Drags. You'll love it.
Thanks for the welcome, if school and money are permitting I would love to make a trip down to check it out.
