Hey everyone. I've been out of the classic scene for a long time and been itching to get back into it for just as long. First car was a 59 4 door Impala and I've loved everything from the 30s on since. I just picked up a....you guessed it....1962 Falcon 4 door Wagon. She's pretty rough but has an assortment of good parts. Determining just how far into it I want to get but I will build something, damnit. You can blame another member w/ a 49 Chevy 2 door Deluxe for getting me back into it and bringing me to this site. Anyhow...looking forward to my stay and as a warmer intro...here's the rusty beast as it was loaded up for the trip back.
Welcome from Edmond Oklahoma. There is a social group for us on H.A.M.B. called Okie Hambers, do a search and find us, take a look and jump in! Jim
+ 1 on the Okie Hambers. There is a Falcon Club that meets at Coits in OKC that can help find the parts you need. PM me if you want more info.
Welcome from Indy. Check out youtube for tons of Falcon videos. Digging the roof rack. When my O/T Mercury is finally worn out I want a wagon for my daily driver.
Welcome from Arcadia! (I still am having a hard time with that after the last 20 years in Guthrie...) You will have to come to Sid's Alley Party in Guthrie next weekend to meet some fellow Okie HAMBers. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=659929
Wellcome from NC Oklahoma. There is a salvage on 40 just East of Clinton that has some older stuff. Was by there Sunday there was 1 convar wagon and 4 corvar cars setting in front.
Hey! Lots of Okies in here. Thanks for all the welcome. I actually just bought the 63 Wagon BenD had for sale on here as well. Waiting on mother nature to play nice to get it here. Definitely will want to attend a meet soon as I can.
Hey! Nice wagon! The big Falcon national club meet will be in Louisville, KY this summer. I have a 62 Falcon sitting in the barn in about the same condition. There is a man in Tenn. that deals in Falcon parts. If you need contact info drop me a line
Welcome from the North East corner of OK. Hey, there is a guy that lives about 20 miles from me with a bunch of Falcons in his yard. I think he has a wagon or two also. He hasn't moved or messed with them for years. If you need something I would be glad to check if he might have some stuff.
