Hello to all. I have been lurking for some time. I absolutely Love this site. Once I get on it's hours til I turn it off. I was a tag-a-long with my brother in the 60'-70's (he was my baby sitter) Grew up around south west Pa. street racing. At that time we had P.I.D, Pittsburgh International Dragway. The Home of the COCA Cola Nationals Saw a lot of the G***ers, AFX and early hot rods of the era race there. I was hooked like a fish. I have a small home shop in the back yard and try to do all my stuff my self. Enjoy fabrication, welding, machine work and did a lot of engine, carb and cylinder head work. Back in the mid 80's we built our own flow bench. We raced the same car from '76 till '94, same car I intend to race with my 14 year old son.He has been working with me in the shop since he was about 8, and I think he might be on the gear head road. After we finish our drag car my son wants to build "a cool rat rod Dad" Hope to contribute when I can. Thanks for having me.
Hey there, welcome from Idaho! If you’re ever in our neck of the woods stop by and say hello. Iv'e got all of my kids building their own cars, gave them the bodies - they gotta do the work. It's one of the good things in life. Even got a 17 year old step-daughter that plans on joining the drag racing team next year! Mark Lester
