First off hi everyone!! im jake and im 21 and been into cars my whole life. my dad has always had muscle cars and i grew up around them. i have a modified 97 7.3 powerstroke diesel and a lifted 82 bronco with a big block. so im not new to horsepower. iv always had a soft spot for old hot rods and im hopin to get one this summer as a project. i want to get a 32 ford 5 window coupe and do early 60s late 50s style with it. i have a lead on just a body and frame at my uncles house so im hopin to pic that up here soon.

quick question about the coupe body and frame..... does $3500 sound like a good price for it? its oiginal henry ford steel too. as far as i know its never been chopped or anything.

Again hi everyone!!! i hope to learn a lot from here and my future project!!!

Welcome, And uh yea that body and frame could bring in $15,000 if it's indeed a '32.

    Get some pictures up.

Welcome from Carlisle Pa. I've seen 32's go for more than that. Depens on what shape it's in.

It's completely rust free. And I'm pretty sure it has primer on it so it's in really good shape

Just because it is in primer doesn't mean it's in good shape. It could be held together by body filler and chicken wire.

Good luck on it though, that's the steal of the century if it IS a '32 5 window. Are you able to post photos of it?

Well turns out its a 30 or 31 ford 5 window coupe. What are the main differences. Etween the two?

    I somehow knew it wasn't a '32.

Are you asking what the differences are from an A to a deuce? There are a ton, if you're asking what the difference is in a '30/'31 coupe... body wise there is no difference... check this out for differences in grilles, splash aprons, and dashes: http://www.mafca.com/whatyear.html

Depending on condition $3500 isn't too bad for a good body and frame. I'd buy it for that, maybe try and get it for $2750/3,000.

    Good luck.

Yeah when you guys told me the prices those go for I didn't think it would be possible or it to be a deuce. Bop-nut thanks for the info. I'll have to look at it soon. I plan on offering like 2500 and see what he says then

Welcome from Tulsa. Even if you have to give 3500 for a rust free body it's a good deal. I like 32's but personally wouldn't pay the huge price difference between the 30/31's and a 32. More hype than anything else. Now, don't get me wrong, I like 32's, I'm just saying the pricing between the two is a little out of line compared to the differences. Good luck with your A.

Rustednutz- I would love a 32 but the price for one is crazy so as long as everything checks out on the 31 I'll just get that.

Robber grin- it turned out to be a 30/31 not a 32. Btw what kinda laws do we have to follow here in pa? I wanna keep it as bare bones as possible
