what'up Brandon, good to see you here. I want to finish my elco before start to work on the '51...I can't work on 2cars same time.. but I'm thinking how can I make it looks cool. maybe chop top , C notch, SBC350 with 700R4, or 235 L6 with 3sp OD( save $gas$) from my elco, 4links air bags, etc... I like your bumpers ! is it silver paint?
keep it stock . that's cool too. before any custom I have to find a engine for the '51. 235 in it now but it's junk... big crack on the cylinder block .
yeah, my rear bumper is painted silver. i had the bumper bolts moved to the inside of the bumper for the smooth look, but they ended up being really wavy fromg being grinded on and it would've cost me a lot of money in copper to make it smooth again. so i had them painted until i can get new ones. i say you should put in a 6-cyl. i want to ditch the 350 in mine and change over to a 260 or something. keep us posted on what you're doing with your toys.

49-52 chevy coupes i love the roof line to them. they don't need chops. just do it like the Elco, slam it on the ground. i like the L6 i kinda wish i dind't put the 350/350 in. i went to far to turn back now.
