started my driving career in 1960 with a 32 ford 3 window coupe "street rod" (although at the time that wasn't what they were called. it was simply a hot rod). 48 merc flathead, etc. never had another after i sold that just before leaving high school and have had all types of "rides" since but mostly been a corvette guy. got rid of my 78 pace car (took 4 years to put back together) and now find myself kind of back where i started, lol. 1938 ford 1/2 ton pick up with a flathead engine. real nostalgia piece (but not my style, lol). just went into the shop to a complete "overhaul", to become a real street rod. expectations include at least a 450hp SB chevy (have the 30 over stroker engine already) and everything that goes with it, lol. glad to be here and hope i can contribute more than i take away while i enjoy the site. thanks for having me. steve
