Hey guys, Im new here. Im a youning at 22, but have loved hotrods forever. Im not quite an actual hamber yet, but planning and scouting for my project. The project is going to be a Model A truck. Its getting a****mins 6bt (HUGE MOTOR) and a 5spd. For those who dont know much about diesels, a****mins 6bt (6cyl) weights in at about 1100lbs fully dressed, then add a good 200lbs for the transmission and****ociated stuff. :D The idea is HUGE motor, little truck. I have to build a frame due to weight and it needs to be stretched about 12" or so. The plan is a chop (3-4") and channel (hoping to channel atleast 4" to cover the frame). Paint wont be anything special, something flat with some chrome stacks out back. Hoping to build my own A bed. Its going to be a fun build, everything is going to have to be custom built (which makes it worth doing). The rear end is going to be the hardest part...the motor should make about 450rwhp and 1000ft/lbs, so breakage is on my mind.

Just wanted to say thanks already, I have learned a ton of info from this board and the tech section RULES!!!
