I've been lurking around for a few months. My friend Scoop says it's time to jump in. Met several of you at BTT50's-enjoyed the meet & greet and saw some great rides. My driver is a 49 Ford F1. My project is a 51 Merc. Got into rods at a young age because my brothers were all older than me and had cool rides. Oldest bro had a40 ford coupe, bro Ron had a 41 Ford coupe. They were all enough older that they hauled me for chick bait. I learned early the power of a cool set of wheels, also learned by age 6 what it feels like 4 wheels in the air going over the railroad tracks. My 51 project was started by my Bro Ron, he worked on it until he got hurt in an accident in his shop. It's a chopped 4 door- he added a continental kit and brought the rear quarters out 18" to match. This thing is long. Got Cadillac Dagmars just to add a few inches in the front. Did I mention this thing is long? Oh well, talked long enough.
