Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been lurking for some time now, and I really like the site. I go to it quite a few times during the day.

I have been working on cars for a long time. I remember helping my dad when I was young. Nothing great, just keeping the family 4dr going.

I have a 58 DelRay that I have owned since '76. It was a drag car when I got it. And have just recently acquired a 30? Plymouth 4dr. This car was a side benefit of getting married. It was the wifes Grandfathers car that was parked in 1956.

I've been able to get lots of ideas and info from you guys and gals. I look forward to the event pics and everyones cars. I am kind of looking for a Model A sedan to build when finances get better. But I have the two cars to get ready for the road yet.

Welcome to the HAMB. I'm in western Mass. up in the corner by Albany. There are quite a few northeasterners on here from time to time.
Have you gone to the Syracuse show in July?
Is the DelRay on the road. What events do you go to?

I live in Cortland. Which is about 30 minutes south of Syracuse. I have been to the nats every year and even to the Car Craft nats. I try and go the the custom car show in the winter. I was just at the show in Maravia at Filmore Glen. The last show of the season is Sept. 18 at Little York Lake, just outside of Cortland. It is like an AACA show. Everything shows up from oldies to street rods and machines and even firetrucks.

Both the 58 and the Ply are not on the road. The 58 has been on the road a couple of times. I have brakes and suspension parts that I want to get into it now, but just short on time. The everyday cars are keeping me busy as well as doing stuff around the house. But I will get to it sometime.

Cool. Maybe we'll get together at Syracuse next year. I have never missed that show either and went to the NSRA Nats there in '95.
That is the only time I get out to your area. The rest of the shows / events are mostly in New England or the Albany area.
