I've been into cars that go fast since I could turn a wrench under my dads car back in the time when dirt was young. I don't have a rod at the present time but am planning on one soon. I just had back surgery in Sept. so its going to be a long slow winter. I've been reading Cboy's journal in the "hotrodders knowledge base" and am determined to use some of his thoughts and build one simular. Any help on building a body from scratch from your site would be a great help! I am a jack of all trades when it comes to cars, the only exception being the new stuff that requires a degree in plumbing to find the engine! I do have an old school 350 gatheriing dust in my garage that is just waiting for a home. By old school I mean old fuelly heads, 11 to 1 dome pistons, high lift cam and all the good stuff that we used back in the day. I don't have anything against the new breed with thier turbos, nitrous and computer controls but I like the old way better!
Welcome from Yucaipa, Ca. Sorry about your back, hope your recovery goes well. Sounds like your off to good start with that 350. Your right about all that high tech stuff, there's a place for it, just not under my hood.
Welcome. I am in Yuma too, and Have a bad bad as well. Had surgery on it last year. Good luck recovering this winter. Hope you find a good project!
