its a 250cid pontiac ohc sprint 6. With a 4 barrel and split exhaust its good for 230 hp. More to come as I get more done. Thanks for lookin, Nick

  2. That's looking good!! I like the bare metal look, maybe you should just chrome the cab!!! (Seriously, I want to see that done and I don't have the bucks to do it myself)

    Keep those pictures coming!!

Nice work, Looks like you got your head screwed on straight for a younger guy. All the high school kids down here in South Florida that I see have those baggy pants and talk like punks. Good luck with the project.....

Love the mail-slot rear window. That side profile shot shows off that sweet reveal under the window. My students just give me that blank, far-off look when I mention hot rods.

Killer stuff man. Better hang onto that thing too. Don't be a dope like most of us and get rid of the "bad*** car you had in high school" Keep it till you die man. Of the few regrets I have, the largest ones are selling cars that I'd kill to have back.

I was thinkin of leavin it bare and puttin a coat or two of clear on it. Thanks suedsled, same to you Mike. Guiseart, Im 17 but ive been workin on cars with my dad since I was 10 or so. This is goin to be for him as he p***ed away in august. Im the the only senior in most of my shop cl***es so its fun to grind away and do my thing while they are doing bookwork:D Im in Yakima, central washington. The side reveal is one of the biggest reasons I like the 35-38 chevs. I dont plan on selling this thing anytime for any reason. Its my first rod and I plan to have it as long as Im alive. Thanks for the kind words, I look up to you guys, Nick

Nice looking. Long time ago when I was 17 built a 51 Ford two door hard top as a mild custome. Wish I still had it. Best towards your future and welcome to the board.

Here in Texas, there's Jocks, Dopers, and Cowboys/Rednecks. The dopers outnumber everyone else. Glad to see there's at least one good kid left. Nice start on the rod!
