    Hello everyone,
new guy here currently in the process of building a 1931 ford model A coupe powered by a 1942 caddy flatty 346ci out of a WWII M-5 Stuart tank. I have previously read through some threads here regarding bypass filters installation however I am unable to locate the thread in the search bar. (shows no results found)
I am trying to find the answer to one specific question regarding this topic.
I have already sourced, installed and plumbed in an early purolator bypass filter according to the caddy tech manual however it does NOT specify if the (oil restriction fitting) is installed in both the filter supply line and the lifter valley supply line or just the filter supply. These are separate lines independent of each other.
One line comes from mid block (left side) oil passage and runs directly to the lifter valley.
The other runs from the front of the block (left side) oil passage to the oil filter inlet. The oil filter outlet runs to the timing cover banjo bolt (second from bottom on the timing chain cover)
The question is "Does only the supply line to the filter have a restrictor fitting or does the supply line to the lifters get one as well?
