Hey guys I am going to throw myself out here. I am wanting to move up from VW's to Hot rods my first car was a 72 chevelle Malibu with a 305 I did have a 64 olds 88 but the x wench sold it on me while I was on deployment. I loved that car I am going to have another one again. I am in the Navy so I am on a pretty tight buget read cheap real cheap. I was thinking a t bucket or something like that. I am wanting to do a slow build up used parts are fine with me but I am not looking for a rat. I will be doing all my own work due to the budget. I also don't have a garage so I will be working outside I have never had a garage I am wanting to buy a new house soon and get a shop.

Welcome to the HAMB. Thanks for the work you do protecting our country. I spent the whole first half of my life working on cars without a garage. Good luck on your project.

Welcome. Don't they have Auto Hobby Shops on base any more? I did a frame off build on a '59 'Vette at Subase Pearl Harbor back in the '60s.
