I have been meaning to do this for a while but every time I log on I find something else that seems to be a little more interesting than doing an intro. I am originally from Connecticut and have spent the last 24 + years traveling courtesy of the Marine Corps. NC seems to be the last stop and the place the wife and I will call home. Thanks to my Dad, I have always had a thing for traditional styled rods and customs. I havent really been in a position to try anything more than bolt on projects, so to say I am a newbie to car building would be an understatement. My wife promised me years ago that when it came time to retire and settle down that I could find a project car. A few years ago my wife found a car for me. A 1962 Studebaker GT Hawk sitting on a back lot out in the California desert. It made our last cross country trip in tow and is waiting for some TLC. A mild 60s styled custom is planned (any an all ideas are welcome) but just getting it back on the road is the goal for now. I hope some where down the road that I might be able to contribute in someway to this forum. For know I will continue to read and learn. Kenny
Thanks for the welcome. I am kind of new to NC so I am still trying to see what is out there. I need to be a little selective and plan. Everything is a road trip from where I am located. I was hoping to make a trip up to your neck of the woods this year to the York Studebaker Swap Meet, but the Corps had other ideas and sent me to Virginia, so here I sit. Maybe next year. kenny
