Got the frame kicked 4 inches in the front. Going to try and set motor and trans tomorrow to see how low she's going to sit.

looks like it could be a cool ride.
going to throw some gusseting plates on those rails to help strengthen it up a bit more?
Here is a pic of what I mean on my 49 Hudson.

Cut out was to show the diagonal weld on the rails under the plate.

Should start a build thread. Just be careful what you post as it would **** if they pulled the thread down for not being traditional. Things like Mustang front ends, rat rods etc offend some people on here. not sure how a 1966 Lincoln would sit with them as from memory they call traditional as being 65 and older.
Still hang about. Some great people on here with a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the auto arts and history.

Also check out the Hudson forums. https://forum.hetclub.org/ super friendly bunch and die hard Hudson fans. More into restoring by a long shot than modifying but again a wealth of knowledge.

Hi & welcome Sounds like it will be a great ride. For a tip start your build thread on the general forum & just say Lincoln & not the year then nobody will get picky over the year. Likely there is no difference in those parts from either 65 or 66. Likely you just made a mistake & thought those 65 parts were 66.
    Good luck, Jimmie
