Hi! Been looking at the H.A.M.B. for years for inspiration. I have been into hot rods for my entire life with my dad being my biggest influence. I used to race a 60s style 65 Malibu then my dad and I built a 1940 Chevy coupe gasser that we try to run at some nearby gasser shows and have some fun on the street with. Currently I'm building a traditional style 33 ford pickup. This has been my dream build for 20 years. Finally started building it last year. Progress has been a little slow lately with a new baby boy born but still trying to find a little time to wrench on it.
There is a downloaded pic of our 40. having trouble posting pics off my phone. keeps saying IMG too big.
What part of Pa. are you in? We spend the summer in the Allentown area and I have ben looking for someone to help with a project .
Dang the luck Pete. You are a bit far away. Was looking for somebody in the Allentown area to help out. Last fall I went out to Beaver Springs to the Nostalgia race and had a great time. Have you ever ben there?
Nope. Havent been to that one yet. We always try to make the one in Thompson Ohio. We are thinking about the goodguys one in Bowling Green KY this fall....
The Beaver Springs race was worth the 115 mile drive from Allentown. We have a few nostalgia races in Texas that we race in, but the Beaver Springs race is bigger. I only wish I could drag the old dragster up here .
Welcome from Maryland. Your '40 Chevy is a beauty. Look forward to watching progress on the '33 p/u............................................Don.
