Hey guys, I recently noticed that everytime I did a google search for stuff about my truck this forum was near the top of the results, so I figured I should join. Name's Chris, 22 years old, just moved to Ellensburg, Washington from northeast Ohio. I've always been into hotrods, but never had the the opportunity to own/build one until recently (my other cars are a Dodge Durango and '87 944 S). Anyway, growing up my dad always told me about his car collection he had in a shed at his parent's house in California. He has 4 Model T's, a Whippet, a 35 Dodge Pickup, a 52 Plymouth, and a 57 Ford Skyliner, all of which he locked in the shed when he went away to college (40+ years ago).We always talked about going out and plucking one of the cars out as a father son project, but never had the time to go out and get one. Now that I am a little closer to CA, I'm finally starting my first build. I chose the 35 Dodge that my great-grandfather bought new in 1935. For the past two weeks I've spent all day in the garage tearing into it and all night on HAMB reading. I've learned a ton already, and I know I have tons more to learn before I reach my goals. Thanks for all the info and inspiration you guys post on this board, and I look forward to participating!
Welcome to the board. Great truck. Kind of like striking gold in your back yard. "Clean 1935 one owner, all original." I've been to Ellensburg a few times. My best friend lives in East Wenatchee and his kids went to college in Ellensburg.
