I have been checking out this site out for a while now but just got around to registering. My name is Mike, I'm 30 and I hail from the biggest shit hole west of the Mississippi, Fresno Cal. Currently I own a '67 Chevelle, wich BTW is for sale, I like the car but I really want a traditional rod. I've never owned anything but Chevy's but I guess that will have to change. With the money I get from my car and whatever else I can scrounge up I want to build a 5 window, something along the lines of this: BTW if this car belongs to someone on this BB, GREAT JOB! Your car is the single most bitchin' ride I've ever seen.
Welcome.... i lost a five window once...only her name wasn't I.D....and it wasn't in a flood. Hang out...this is a great place!!! Just ask Hatch....
Welcome, I wish I had that car too. My mother in law lives in Fresno, you can keep her. That place is an armpit as long as shes there.
Well, you have excellant taste in Rods....Welcome, if I can be of any help, let me know. Here is a pix of my "A"...a bit diffent than most...and I just made a deal on a '30 "A" 2 dr sedan body to build a slammed-chopped beater out of......
why's something have to change?they made chevy's in the 30's why not try to find one?i've been looking for a 29-32 tudor sedan for my next rod.may be harder to find ol gm stuff but i think it'll be worth the wait.not to many of us chevy guys, hang in there.oh by the way, welcome to the carnival....quickrod
I have a friend that had a dog named Muttley, it bit someone so they had to get rid of it at any rate, welcome
Welcome Muttley.Nice intro,weld done.So yeah why dontja build a chevy hot rod.Shit find a late 20s,early 30s chevy body and put a Y-block Ford in it!Yeah then you'll have a totally different hot rod........Shiny
Welcome aboard Muttley. ('67 chevelles rule) Haha, mine may feel abandoned and unloved (as evidenced by the recently discovered leaky heater core) but I will NEVER sell it. There are early chevy coupes out there. A couple weeks ago, there was a really nice '32 coupe on ebay from kansas or somewhere out west. It looked like it would be a great project car. Look at it this way, if you build a chevy, no one can give you grief for your motor not being traditional enough! '32 chevy coupe on ebay
