I live in Northern Ontario so not much of the old school rides stay hear specially with any chance of making a nice car. But I found not one but 2 in my home town. And Well I finely took the first step in the adventurer of a old school ride. I got both 53 Buick special 4 door. One on a late 60's frame with a 305 firebird engine and one all organal missing the engine (guy took it as a finders fee) I am looking at building a low riding Week end cruseer with a hot rod feel to it. No fancy paint! I was looking at a chop but May be a bit out of my league on that one. I am looking at air ride and maby putting the body (best of the 2) on to a 94 impala frame that I have siting in m back yard.

I just want to know if I am crazy or not. I love the look of the car and the price was right Under $1000 for both at my door. I will have pix new week as The cars are hiding form my wife at a buddy place :)

Right, tell her one is yours and one is hers. But that means you have to build hers first

If you have to hide things from yer wife you may wanna evaluate yer marriage before you buy anything else.

No, She know I got them I just need to get the other***** out of my yard first. I Think I explained myself wrong. I do appreciate the concern. The 91-96 is a full frame car. ever thing past that is a a unibody car and not worth the price of steal (sorry for the put down I am just mad at GM for them callign it an impala.) The original frame is in good shape. The one siting on the 60's frame is the issue. I am hoping to have pix late next week as my friend is out of town right now. I am haivng som isues finding Interor parts for the 53 any one know where to Look? outside of some Cars in Alburta I can not fidn any in Ontario.

Well both are at home and I have the one pulled apart. Wife is happy with the cars she knows it will be a nice car when it is done. I underestimated the body on the 2nd car and it will be cut up for repair panels for me and others.
