Well finally hooked up on the HAMB, great reading an advise available! I have been involved in rodding for approx. 12 years, due to an addiction which began as a result of attending late night dirt modified races as a kid (20 plus years ago). Man, wouldn't I love to have all those deuce coupes which were smashed, crashed, rolled, rubbed, etc. Of course, American Graffiti had a prfound effect on me!! Anyways, I currently drive a unchopped, high boy, red 5 window deuce, blown 409 stroked to 474, 4 gear cog cluster, white wall cheater slicks, Americans, chrome dropped front axle, with white tuck & roll..... I just sold a full fendered chopped 30 powered by a 425 nailhead with a 3 deuce intake with a 4 gear. I am currently building a 30 tudor powered by a '58, 392 hemi mated to a torque flite. This car is chopped 4", channeled 4", with a stretched frame allowing a little more room for the blower belt and pulleys. This will be a strictly nostalgic drag car, hopefully everything will work out as good as the rods as this is my first time out of the box building a drag car!! By the way, I'm located approximately 1 1/2 hours north of Syracuse N.Y., just across the boarder in Canada.
that's a pretty cool car....... how in the world did this thread get 5 stars with only one reply....... welcome!!
