new guy sort of

hello every one this is my first post. i believe i own a 1946 or 47 merc coupe. i need a little help on trying to identifi the year of this car. i do not have a ownership or ***le as its called in the usa. i have not been able to locate any #s a little help would greatly be apreciated please.
