Hi everyone! I'm Fred from upstate New York, last weekend I fell off a ladder, just my latest "stunt". I'm getting too old to get hurt like this! I am putting together a 1960 Ford Fairlane 2 door sedan (post) car with the nostalgic "g***er look". I am leaning toward a Ford Econoline front straight axle with parallel leaf springs. I'm not crazy with the look of a tube axle from the catalogs. My question: did these vans come with/or can be converted to use disc brakes?? Thank you all for any help! Oh, I have a low mileage T-bird 429/C6 combo, as power. Any comments on this motor??? Parts? hop-up stuff? Thank's
Good God man be careful !! A friend of mine fell off a ladder about 8' and the twisted his angle, it broke and bone stuck in the ground. After many debreedings it was amputated about 4" below the knee. Don't take chances.
Hey Freddie, welcome, Go ahead and post this on the Main board. They do make a conversion to disc, but, I don;t know where they;re from.
