I first registered here back in 2009. Personal commitments kept me from an intro or much of anything else. Now that I have retired for the second time, I guess I should get on with my pathetic introduction.

The bottom line for me is that I like old cars, especially Fords. Over the years I have probably gone through about 25 of them ranging from a '34 Ford pickup my current '63 Falcon. I also have a '37 Ford pickup that is close to being back on the road. I have a web page dedicated to the '37 truck, but I have not had the energy to update it in a few years (www.oldbleu.com).

I cut my teeth on hotrods back in the late '60's and early '70's wrenching for Gary Cochran, Mr. "C" out on the Left Coast. We ran Top Fuel at that time and wound up chasing all over the country running where ever we could to make a dime. A great experience, but a hell of a lot of work.

In 1974 I gave it up, met my future wife, got married, started a career that lasted 33 years and helped raise two daughters. Now, I want to relax and work on my hot rods. I recently finished a detached garage in the back yard, so I can pretty much tinker without being bothered. I also still love to ride my motorcycle when I can find time.

At the moment, I am installing EFI on the V-8 Falcon which is my daily driver. It goes to the paint shop when I am done. I am looking forward to exploring this site and getting some new ideas from the folks who hang out around here.

I am not up to speed on posting pictures here, but I will give it a try. Here are two pictures from MANY years ago. One shows Gary Cochran and the late John Carpenter after we won Top Gas Eliminator at the 1968 AHRA Winternationals in Phoenix. I am the very young guy in the middle. The motor was a 392 Chrysler with a 5/8" Reath stroker.

I have no idea where the burnout picture was taken, maybe Fremont? I am standing next to the Top Fuel car after pouring some liquid traction compound in front of each rear wheel.
