I have the best of intentions and the worst of opportunity.

A 1966 Bronco in storage that has been taken apart for nearly 7 years now.

A wife who would love a 1940 DeSoto or Plymouth 4 door.

And an itch to build a '56 Ford F100.

I'll lurk, perhaps ask a few questions, and occasionally seem extremely motivated.

But, in the long run, work and family will always win.

Unless I can teach her to wrench.....

One thing I have really enjoyed so far about the site is the innovation/imagination.

The early Bronco crowd I normally talk to seem to be stuck on the idea of the "correct" part to fix a problem. "My rockers are rusted, so I will buy new rockers." I've never been the type to worry more about whether a part was designed to perform a function than whether it could be used to perform the function.

I recently read one of tech articles on building your own floor pans for a Falcon. That one article made me realize that all the years of excuses about lack of money to buy repop parts to get my Bronco back on the road were just wasted. And in all honesty, making my own body panels to replace the rusted out parts will probably give me a helluva lot more satisfaction in the work when I am done.

Consider me hooked and here for a long time.

As far as pics go, I will post some up of the Bronco once I get back from Iraq.

The 55/56 F100 has not been purchased yet, so there are no pics. Only dreams.

    And the 40 Plymouth/DeSoto...
Well, I've almost got her convinced it's a good idea. And there just happens to be one very near and for not much money.

Where does Cruise night take place?

Once I get back, Culver's will be on my list of places to check out.

And I'm forwarding your quote to my dad. He's a die hard Mizzou fan and would agree with it, most enthusiastically. No offense to the Jayhawkers present....
