Hi, I recently joined the forum. I have a nice 48 Olds street rod with a Chevy 350. The block is a 1974. The previous owner was not interested in detailing the engine compartment. I have removed the rams horn exhaust manifolds for sand blasting and painting and I was looking for a way to dress of my spark plug wires. I thought an easy solution would be to pick up some sbc shields/looms and bolt them on. Unfortunately, this block does not have bolt holes under the manifolds like the earlier blocks. Any suggestions on what I could use would be appreciated. Thanks
Jim, welcome to the fourm. That is one sweet Olds! I once got an Olds for my ex-wife, it was a pretty good trade on my end. One thing I've seen that I like on the war eara cars is the cloth covered wires, very period looking. The image below is from Rod & Custom, I've seen them in several different color combos...just a thought.
Thanks for the friendly welcome. I would be happy with just some way to make the plug wires look good and maintain proper separation.
Short of bolted on looms - I like the little seperators... https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=Tu4TUY2LDa_liwL9xIHADg
