Thanks! It's a mild custom with shaved door handles and trunk, nosed hood, recessed license plate in deck and molded tail lights and bumper. Done in flat grey paint with suttle Pinstriping. Has a 350 with auto trans and mustang II front end.

My plans are gloss gun metal metallic roof, 4 added teeth to grill and some 20" Detroit steel wheel co wheels.

Why do you want wheels that big on it? By the way, where are you from? Good luck with it...

Those 20" steelies..... You either love em or hate em! Haha. I just like the look. I'm open to 18" as well. Haven't decided yet but I do want a large steelie for sure!

  11. So you did not read the rules of the HAMB??? We don't do 18 & 20 inch wheels here...READ the rules at the top of the" Introduce your self here" page

Well technically it don't have 18-20" wheels on it yet so I've broken zero rules. I'm pretty sure I can have ideas and visions as I go. That's what hot rodding is all about. So until I put "those wheels" on... I will hang out and enjoy the vast amount of great info I've already started to read. Thanks!

Beautiful car! I think 20"ers would look sweet. This '26 has 21"s. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1466525774.118890.jpg

Great car! Hang around here, just look an learn... I´m sure your preference in wheels, and stance will be different a few months from now.

I also ordered 4 more grill "teeth" to fill it in so I will be posting some pics once I install them.

My 4 new grill teeth have arrived! I also got the base coat for the roof. I went with house of color gloss Galaxy grey. I think the contrast between gloss metallic and the flatz grey will really pop. I will get pics once I get these projects complete!

Nice looking Chevy so far. (Flat paint and big wheels just ain't me, but diversity rules!)
I do like chromed teeth on a painted grille bar. Extra teeth is a great first step.
I must add, however, that the pinstriping on the door seems counter productive to me, as it negates the effect of removing the door handles. (o_O)

THANKS!! I agree with the door pinstriping...I bought it that way....I just don't know how to remove it without ruining the paint underneath. Any suggestions would be great!

In the "old" days we used to use Easy-Off oven cleaner in the yellow cans to remove pin striping. Pin stripers usually don't use hardener so the stripes are softer then the body paint. Hopefully what ever type of paint is on the car body has hardener in it. If not you are pretty much screwed.

Awesome! I will test it on the roof since I'm repainting that anyway and that pinstriping has to come off as well!

    Thanks guys!

You sound like you're a young guy, (much like myself) and your taste in wheels may be different than that of an older generation. I myself prefer the look of some big white walls. Do what you please with your car, just like people radicalized their kustoms back in the day, many of them were eye sores but experimenting is how you get those perfect works of art that are timeless. Cheers

Also, car goes in Monday for roof paint! Gloss, house of color Galaxy grey.
