Im the new guy, picking up my 53 chevy 2dr in the morning. Just sold my 65 galaxie to buy this rust bucket. Been reading your posts for years but wouldn't join until i had something worthy to call a rat rod. Hope you guys will accept me? I have years of knowledge to give away and alot of questions to ask.

Welcome But please read the{ Traditional Custom Form} at the top of every page. We don't do , or say the word rr here. You don't need to put a lot of money in to your Chevrolet to be a traditional custom. This is a pre 1965 site. We don't do street rods, stock, r Rods, or anything post 65 on here. Not that there is anything wrong with these type of cars. But they are for other sites. Just not here. thanks. Ron...
Why leave? You have a Great Start. A 54 two door Chevrolet. That's a cool car. I started with a $100 model A. I got it on the road on the CHEAP! The reason I don't care for the term rat rod is what so many people do. They use toilet lids for seats lot of late model parts, spider webs, skulls etc. If your car could have been built{ before 1965}. Then it would be traditional . That's what this thread is all about. Hope you don't leave because of the term of rat rod. but if a rat is what you want there are probably sites for them too.{ Rust or low buck is O K! } Good luck with your 54, and thanks Ron...
