    Hello all.
I'm in the process of getting my hands on a '33 Chevy 5 window coupe. It's currently on a chassis that I'd rather not speak of. I'm interested in building an appropriate one with a traditional stance, solid axle front, not sure about the rear yet. Obviously dimensions are hard to find, so hopefully the combined experience here can help!
I look forward to hearing from you all!

    Tadd.

Thanks Jimmy. It was in the process of getting new running gear and an engine refresh when I found the '33, so everything is on hold until I secure it, then back to the '49. She looks great, I just need her to perform better than stock so I can enjoy driving it more often.

Hi again. My avatar photo shows the 1957 tricked out 235 engine in my 46 coupe. It runs down the road quite well with the 355 ring & pinion. Engine bored 0.060, Clifford cam, dual 2 bbl Weber carbs, HEI, & 12 volt system. Even with the Vintage air running with the above set up I get 20 MPG at 65 MPH with the 3 on tree. Later I got talked into going to a T350 tranny with a 57 pickup rear end with 307 gears and it is a disaster. Millage fell to 10 MPG. That crap has got to go. Plans are to put in a rebuilt 3 speed floor shift and go back to the old 355 rear end so it will again be a good Hwy ride. Hopefully this will be next years project after I get a couple of bills paid off. Currently driving my 50 Plymouth Deluxe. Jimmie
