how is it goin' guys? great web site.
i am from the milwaukee area.
i like that we are getting more and more local traditional rides.
hopefully the younger generation will get into that more so than the tuners.
look forward to hearing about some of the little car shows you guys are going to.
    my ride is a 1960 f100 ford.
i built an inline 300c.i. for it
    put in a tremec t5*******
its not all together traditional but it was what i could afford

  2. Welcome- sounds like a nice ride to me! What did you do for motor mounts/perches? Have you seen fordsix.com?

I used a 390ci v8 crossmember and the original 300ci inline six motor mount pads.
The motor sat really low so i made some blocks to mount under the the crossmember on top of the rails. That got me right were i wanted it.
I put a 3" drop axle, mono leaves with reverse eyes for front suspesion.
That is what took up my clearance between the oil pan and top of the axle.
For rear suspension i did a triangulated four link with air bags. It sits pretty low but could definately go lower.

    I have checked out fordsix.com
They helped me zero in on my no oil pressure problem when i first put my motor together.(i missed an oil passage plug)
I also like the clifford six=eight web site. if you haven't checked it out you should.

Hopefully I can get some pictures on here this week end.

Kingcrow you should check out http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/ this website is geared toward offroad trucks but the stuff is really stout. It is a refreshing change from the generally light duty after market suspension stuff for our hobby.

welcome to the HAMB - a couple questions - how does it ride?

300 6 with 5 spd = smart, what kind of mileage do you get?

I had a buddy growing up and his was 300 with 3 on the limb and a clifford intake, small cam and headers and it would spank my 351M (it was a turd so not much accomplishment there)

    Dixiedog,
The front suspension does not ride that good. I only have three inches of travel between the top of the leaf and the bottom of the frame. Using the original shock mounts this puts the shock at quite the angle. I'm think of putting a nice IFS in. The rear suspension is great.

I am not sure what kind of gas milage I get. All I have for gauges is an oil pressure and water temp. gauge. I put a Holley 600 cfm. carb on it to get it running and it is a little to big. I have plans to get a sling shot and two dueces to bolt onto my Offenhauser intake. I thought that would be a little different to see on a inline 300.
The ford inline 300 is a great motor.

I finally got a couple of pictures on here. Check them out in my album.
