Hi folks! My name's Morgan, I'm a 29 yo french guy. Member Skoh73 showed me this group, so here I am and here is my 1955 Ford country wagon :
Welcome aboard man! This is the greatest group of folks on the HAMB. If you have any questions at all I'm sure that they can be answered here. Again, love your wagon!
Thanks guys! more about the car : it was sold in France in 1955 with a L6 engine, that was later swapped with a 312 y block (just made a few improvement on it : new edelbrock carb & MSD distributor). Also has a pair of cherrybombs. transmission is the stock manual 3 speed on the collumn. it has no power windows, power seats, power steering or power brakes! it hadn't even the radio in it! I'm currently looking for some paint ideas, as the paint job was really poorly done by the previous owner.
Hey Morgan, it looks like the pics that you posted may have been taken on a phone- do you have any more that are higher resolution? I'd be happy to do some new paint ideas for you in Photoshop.
Welcome from Abbottstown , Pa. ! I really love your 55 wagon . I have always wanted another wagon and might come across a good one someday . I have owned a few wagons over the years . Funny thing is I never owned a FORD wagon yet ! Your's really looks great ! I like the engine with the caddy air cleaner . Looks to be a good deal that you bought . Enjoy the wagon and have some fun ! I also had a couple VW's over the years too back in the 1970's . I actually drag raced a 1969 VW with a close friend back in the mid 1970's and had lots of fun with that car ! Jim
Thanks skoh73, but as my camera died, those are the only pictures I have of my car... Dwaynerz : It had a partial restauration in the past, but it's solid as it has p***ed most of its years in south of France, where the weater isn't too bad. Retro Jim : I also own a 1970 bug, really fun car to drive, worked a lot on the ch***is and engine, it could race on a track!
