Hello H.A.M.B.'ers, I've been haunting this board for a long time reading posts and learning, looking at pics, and my buddy convinced me to finally get on here. My name is Rocko from Butler PA. I'm 34 years old and a member of the Sacred Piston Car Club out of Pittsburgh PA. I am by no means any master fabricator or mechanic, but I sure do enjoy tinkering! I've met several of you I bet from one of our club functions or road trips and look forward to getting to know more of you and eyeballin your rides and learning from your posts. My current ride is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air I got a couple summers ago (and took a lot of ball bustin from traditionalists and buddies about getting a '57!). Not to mention it was a sun faded coral color which earned it a few nicknames (Pink Monster, the Pepto *****mobile...you get the idea). Got it as a solid "running driving" (yeah right!) Oklahoma car and I spent time getting it running pretty good (wiring, plumbing, swapping intake/carb etc.) and kicking around in it. Had some good times and great road trips and hanging with other clubs. Then I proceeded to CRASH IT INTO ANOTHER CAR late one night thanks to my own stupidity. It was a humbling lesson in what you get by trying to be "cool" and what drum brakes are like when it's raining!!! Ha! Anyway thankfully no one was hurt (except my pride and my car!) I cracked up a lot of chrome and crunched my fender. Bent the frame/bumper horn. Coulda been a LOT worse. So the frame shop got on it while I gathered up parts. In a weird way it was the start point to some of the mild customizing I wanted to do. I never saw myself as one of those '57 "cherry" guys anyway. Got a lot of help from my club buddies over the winter with shaving/nosing/decking/sanding/etc and the car is now at a pro paint shop where it will be getting a nice finish job and sweet coat (not pink again!). I've been jonesing to get back on the road for a long time. I enjoy road trips with my club brothers, hanging out at our garage/clubhouse, and meeting other hot rodders out there and checking out cool cars. I also like checking out bands and drinking a beer or two, oh and checking out the ladies. Once I figure out how I'll share some wreck pics and my progress along the way since then. You can see it on my profile pic winking at you though. I'm sure I'll be asking questions and sharing club updates alongside Stan and any other Sacred Pistons on here. Look forward to talking with yinz and finally being on the H.AM.B.! -Rocko

Good intro Rocko. Although I live near Columbus, Ohio now, I grew up not far from you in Bradford. My Brother Jim still lives there, he and his friends have some nice rides. They have a blast, when Summer falls on a weekend! John
